Sprint and its parent Softbank have released the Curiosity Platform, aimed at delivering a more advanced way of managing and securing IoT devices. The platform will enable businesses to manage IoT devices and connectivity over the air across multiple Sim profiles, with intelligence from device data generated through the dedicated, distributed and virtualized core, built together with the new operating system. Security will be provided also from the chip to the cloud.
The companies said the dedicated, virtualised and distributed core network will be paired with a new OS -built with Ericsson- for immediate data intelligence. Arm will deliver the security and device and data management. Packet will enable an advanced distributed core network using bare metal servers at the edge.
