Mobile operator Kar-Tel, trading under the Beeline Kazakhstan brand, has deployed a NarrowBand IoT (NB-IoT) network in the city of Kostanay. It is carrying out a project in cooperation with gas supplier KazTransGaz. The new network is the first NB-IoT grid built by the operator.

KazTransGaz gas meters will be managed using the NB-IoT technology to transmit data from the meters.
