Operator Telia Estonia has connected gas company Energate to its NB-IoT (narrow band internet of things) network.  Gas-meters of the company have been connected to the network. The gas supplier plans to expand the number of devices connected to the network in the future to several thousands.

The operator launched the NB-IoT network, covering the whole county‘s area, in December 2018. The network is 5G-ready.
