The Scottish Cities Alliance has secured a further EUR 15 million in European funding for its Smart Cities programme. This boosts the total invested in the project to almost GBP 60 million.
The ERDF funds will be used to support Phase 2 of the Smart City programme. This will see Scotland’s eight cities collaborate on a range of projects including mobile working and smart infrastructure projects using IoT.
The funding will also enable the cities to scale up Smart City projects from Phase 1 including lighting, smart mobility, waste, mobile working and IoT networks.
