Finnish operator Digita has teamed up with Arrow to run the Arrow Digita StartUp Challenge and is providing participants with IoT development tools. The best services using LoRaWAN will be presented at Arrow’s IoT Summit on 23 May. Arrow will reward the winners with a EUR 5,000 prize and Digita will offer them 1,000 LoRa network connections for a year.
The competition is open to companies with a Finnish business ID, founded in 2016 or later. Ideas should be ready by the end of April 2019.
Arrow is offering companies a 15 percent discount on devices that use LoRaWAN and Digita is offering ten free LoRaWAN connections for a year, or until 31 December 2019. There are a total of 500 free connections available.
The IoT Paja Foundation will support participants in the StartUp Challenge by providing its development laboratory and staff expertise to turn their ideas into prototype products and to demonstrate business potential. IoT Paja is a non-profit foundation and operates independently, with its own staff.
