Brazilian operators Embratel and Claro have partnered with research institutes Eldorado and Embrapa Meio Ambiente on the development of IoT services for agribusiness, reports Teletime. The two operators will provide mobile network infrastructure (2G, 3G and 4.5G) and also new networks focused on IoT (NB-IoT and CAT-M). In addition, Embratel will also provide a cloud computing environment.
The Fazenda Conectada (Connected Farm) project will be carried out at Condominio Inovar, at Embrapa Meio Ambiente’s premises in Jaguariuna (Sao Paulo).
