Telecom Italia (TIM), together with its ICT services subsidiary Olivetti, said it will be hosting a number of activities during the second Milan Digital Week to be held in the northern Italian city from 13 to 17 March. The company will be conducting a live demonstration of its 5G network at the TIM WCAP space (Via Magolfa 8) on 14 and 15 March to showcase the smart city benefits of the new technology, including the use of NarrowBand-IoT connectivity for the intelligent management of traffic, parking, lighting and waste collection.
Other events include workshops and conferences on urban security, coding and digital evolution in retail as well as an exhibition entitled “Olivetti, a history of innovation” at the Museo del Novecento.
