Czech Radiokomunikace (CRa) has added new features to its IoT Cloud, which can now process data from other devices and IoT platforms outside CRa’s LoRaWAN network.
CRa IoT Cloud can now also send and receive messages via MQTT (MQ Telemetry Transport) protocol and combine them with data from the LoRaWAN network. The MQTT protocol is used e. g. for communication among smart home devices or industry automation devices. CRa is the first Czech IoT operator to offer this combination of technologies.
MQTT is a verified communication machine-to-machine (M2M) protocol used in IoT. It is intended for simple devices with small processors. MQTT can be either a physical device connected to the internet (smart socket, switch, valve, heating control, consumption control, etc), or a software client on an IoT platform.
CRa IoT Cloud serves as a data bridge between MQTT and LoRaWAN.
