Telenor Denmark and Telia Denmark said in separate statements they have paved the way for the provision of mobile services at up to 1 Gbps. The two operators have a joint Danish network, called TT, whose operation is outsourced to Nokia. Telenor said it mounted 5G equipment on an existing mast in central Copenhagen, and Telia said other towns are in the pipeline for the gigabit mobile service.
Both operators pointed out that very few consumer mobile devices supporting such high speeds are on the market yet.
