T-Mobile Czech Republic is expanding its NB-IoT network. The operator offers the service in pilot operation with selected customers, after first launching in December 2017. They can also use roaming services in some European countries with operators from the Deutsche Telekom group.

NB-IoT is an LTE technology intended for low-power devices and limited bandwidth, typical for Internet of Things applications. T-Mobile’s NB-IoT network is available in Prague and environs, Beroun, Mlada Boleslav and Brno, based on around 200 base stations.

Roaming is available on networks across Austria, Croatia and the Netherlands as well as much of Germany, Greece, Poland and Slovakia and parts of Hungary. Country-wide coverage is also available in the US.

Vodafone Czech Republic announced coverage of the whole country with NB-IoT in October 2017.
