Atos has released the Horus Security Suite for ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems), a product designed to protect connected vehicles communication in smart city applications. The new release combines hardware security modules (HSMs) embedded in connected vehicles with Horus PKI for IoT, a dedicated PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) service that ensure the confidentiality of data exchanges in a V2X (vehicle-to-everything) environment.
The product has a capacity to produce over 1,000 electronic certificates per second. Among its possible applications, Atos said that it can be integrated into a Security Operations Centre (SOC) to identify abnormal activities and defend against cyber-attacks targeting smart city services.
In related news, Atos announced a new addition to the high-availability software range for enterprise business-critical services hosted in the cloud, part of its Identity and Access Management (IAM) portfolio. Named Evidian SafeKit, it aims to provide real-time replication, load balancing and failover for customers working in a cluster-in-cloud-computing environment.
